It’s been nearly two years since I was last at Christmas Carols at Coogee, so tonight Dad and I set off to Barwon Park in Franklin Street, Matraville to meet Greg, Ingrid, Rory and Keeley for Matraville Carols by Candlelight.
I hear there was lot’s of stuff happening on the stage, but I wasn’t particularly interested in any of that. I was having far more fun making Dad chase me all over the park and running through other peoples picnics.
But the best part of the night was when I was given a battery-powered candle to play with. Wow!

I’ve already had My Second Birthday Party and My Second Birthday – but it’s just not enough. So today I had my second, second birthday party for my friends in Canberra that couldn’t make it last month.

Today was the day Mum, Dad and I made the decision to finally take the next step in the evolution of my head. The last straw for Mum was last weekend when the Barista in Simmone Logue at Double Bay called me Princess. So we took a short drive to Kidz Lidz at 95 Frenchmans Road Randwick NSW Australia for my first ever hair cut!
I took the drivers seat for the procedure and the staff took Mum and Dad’s advice and put Hi-5 on the TV.

Then it began.

It took a while to get to the neck tidying stage.

By the end of the procedure it was taking a fair degree of distraction therapy to keep me quiet.

The staff copped a couple of whacks from my glitter stick but all’s well that ends well
Today is my second birthday. Only two days after my second birthday party and a whole year after my first birthday – it’s time for a then and now (or in this case – now and then):
Now:

Then:

Because it’s a Tyesday, I was at daycare today. But because it was my birthday, I brought a cake for all my friends to share with me.

It was fun being the centre of attention for the day. I know I was popular because Kirsten wanted a photo just with me.

Today was my Second Birthday Party.

I’m not quite two yet – only two days to go. But because my birthday is on a Tuesday this year, we had my party today so everyone could come. Mum, Dad, Grandma and Aunty Bec helped set up the back yard for my party.

Then the guests arrived. Unlike my first birthday party last year, this year was a small gathering. There was Mum, Dad, Grandma, Aunty Bec, Aunty Sam, Aunty Nat and Godmother Linda.
Before long it was time for presents. I got lots of great presents. Mum and Dad got me this bike without pedals. It’s supposed to be better than using training wheels and good for developing balance. I can only just touch the ground with my toes. Grandma thinks it’s a crazy contraption.

Present opening makes me hungry, so luccky it was time for cake. I was turning two soon so it only seemed fair that I get two cakes.

I must have been hungry because even two cakes wasn’t enough. When we heard the ice-cream van coming down the street we knew it was time for soft-serves and choc-tops.
