My First Fathers Day (and Dads Too)

September 2, 2007

Today was my first Father’s Day ever (and Dads as well). I got up early so I could suprise Dad with a big cuddle before he got up.

Kisses in Bed

As soon as Dad had wiped the sleep from his eyes, Mum and I broke out the presents - some chocolates (my favourite), a stove-top espresso maker, some matching Mommy (apologies for the dumb-arse American spelling) and Daddy coffee cups and, to top it all off, I was decked out in my new “MY DAD ROCKS!” outfit which, of course, is true, because he does :)

After breakfast we all went for a Drive to the big IKEA store at Rhodes to buy some storage draws for my bedroom. But that’s not all we came back with! Mum took a fancy to a comfy red chair. However, when we got it home and Dad sat in it, the chair in question all-of-a-sudden became “The Father’s Day Chair.” I think Dad thought it was pretty comfy too and, as you can see, so do I.

But at the end of a big first Father’s Day, there’s nothing like sharing an ice cold Crown with the old man before settling in with a warm bottle of milk and big big sleep.

Gotta Love Crown!

Happy Father’s Day Dad :)
