Look Fai

The Evason Phuket also had very good baby sisters. Mum, Dad, GM Linda and Wendy all went out for dinner every night leaving me with the same baby sister. She was really nice and we often caught up during the day in the club lounge.

One day, while we were relaxing in the lounge, Dad decided to ask the staff what my name was in Thai. After searching on the Internet, Dad discovered my name means “little fire.” This translates literally to “Look Fai” in Thai. From that day on, everywhere I went, the staff called me by my Thai name. This even happened once we had returned to Bangkok. It was always “Good Morning Look Fai” or “Hello Look Fai.”
