All too soon it was time to return to Bangkok. I put on my favourite Aidan, Aidan, Aidan t-shirt and we headed for the airport.
I couldn’t believe the trip was nearly over. Here we were, back in Bangkok for just four more nights, and then we were going home. When we got to the Sofitel Silom our suite was not ready yet. Mum said this has happened every single time they have stayed here so she was not at all surprised. To pass the time while we waited we got some coffee and cake from Lenotre. The staff at the Sofitel also gave me a teddy bear (I was getting quite a collection) and we played with it together on the floor while mum and dad ate. I called him Sofitel Bear.
During our stay in Bangkok we visited the infamous Chatuchak Market. It was huge! It was also a particularly hot day so we only stayed a little while before heading to an air-conditioned shopping centre where Mum went nuts buying lots of shoes and bags.
On our second morning we took a tour to the Floating Markets. This meant a long bus trip to Ratchaburi. Mummy and I took a nap on the way.
When we got there we took a long tail boat ride along the klongs.
After this we hopped into smaller boats so that we could do some shopping. Mum bought some coconut pancakes and fried banana chips from ladies who cooked them in other little boats and we snacked on these while we shopped.
Once we had finished shopping from our little boat we stepped back onto shore. Mum and I took a moment for a hug before we were loaded back onto the bus for the trip back to Bangkok.
Bangkok meant more shopping and eating out. One day after some shopping and lunch we all decided to take a tuk tuk back to the hotel. Bangkok tuk tuks are different to Phuket tuk tuks.
For our last night in Bangkok Mum, Dad, GM Linda and Wendy went to Breeze Restaurant at the Dome for dinner. I stayed in with my baby sister and unfortunately developed a bellyache and diarrhoea. It had to happen some time
